Duties
Develop comprehensive financial projection models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning initiatives.
Conduct variance analysis reporting to identify discrepancies between actuals and forecasts, providing actionable insights for management.
Prepare and interpret financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
Perform detailed cost accounting analyses to optimize expense management and improve profit margins.
Support regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and other statutory obligations.
Utilize business intelligence tools and financial reporting software to streamline data analysis and enhance reporting accuracy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on pricing strategies, sales performance, investment evaluations, and financial planning efforts.
Conduct technical accounting research on complex transactions such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, or financial instrument valuation.
Analyze profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports to provide clear interpretations for stakeholders.
Assist in the development of financial models that forecast future performance based on market trends and organizational goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CFA certification is a plus.
Proven experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or financial analysis roles with a strong understanding of financial concepts.
Extensive knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, SOX compliance, and regulatory reporting standards.
Demonstrated expertise in financial model development using Excel data analysis techniques.
Proficiency with financial analysis software and business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills for preparing clear financial report writing and interpretation for diverse audiences.
Experience in variance analysis reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
Data analysis skills combined with a solid understanding of finance principles to support decision-making initiatives.
